Our client required rapid geospatial data processing to extract 3.5 million high-accuracy building footprints in the Middle East within an extremely short timeframe. Conventional geospatial analysis techniques proved too slow for the project's demanding schedule and scale, risking delays and compromising data precision. We engineered a cutting-edge Geospatial AI solution, utilizing a proprietary single-stage object detection framework. This innovative approach bypassed the limitations of traditional methods, focusing on:

  1. Speed & Efficiency: Our AI model, built on a CSPDarknet53 backbone and integrated detection head, enabled rapid building footprint detection and segmentation in one pass, crucial for large-scale mapping.

  2. High Accuracy & Detail: Optimized for precision, the system delivered clean, validated footprints suitable for fine-scale mapping (1:300) and detailed urban analytics.

  3. Proven Scalability: Designed specifically for large-scale geospatial data processing, handling the 3.5 million footprint requirement efficiently without sacrificing quality.

  • AI Architecture: Custom State-of-the-Art (SOTA) single-stage detection framework leveraging a CSPDarknet53 backbone for efficient feature extraction from satellite/aerial imagery.

  • Efficient AI Model: Optimized model with ~86 million parameters (approx. 22% leaner than previous gen standards), balancing performance and deep learning accuracy.

  • Robust ML Training: Trained on a diverse dataset of ~400,000 annotated samples using advanced machine learning techniques, data augmentation, and custom loss functions for superior object detection performance.

  • Exceptional Accuracy: Achieved top-tier geospatial data accuracy:

    • Segmentation Precision: 94%

    • Segmentation Recall: 90%

    • mAP@50 mask: 0.847
